Ivy Quill Communications president Eliza Dolin is a writer, editor, communications coach, and branding consultant. She brings to her work intelligence, quality, and creativity; a commitment to professionalism and efficiency; and genuine enthusiasm for helping her clients achieve their communications goals.
An attorney and retired law firm partner as well as a communications expert, Ms. Dolin has written and edited thousands of documents targeting a wide range of audiences. As an anthropology student at Harvard College she wrote an honors-winning thesis and won a poetry award. At Columbia Law School she was ranked in the top third of her class while developing expertise in the areas of environmental policy, medical malpractice, and legislative drafting. Her work as a researcher, author, and editor was published on a regular basis beginning when she was a young attorney.
Fifteen years of practice at two international law firms further honed Ms. Dolin’s writing, editing, and coaching skills. Working closely with clients, she generated a wide array of materials carefully designed to achieve results, from persuasive memoranda for judges, to analytical white papers for senior executives at Fortune 100 companies, to technical analyses for government regulators. She also gained management, marketing, and teaching experience as a hiring attorney, mentor, supervising partner, and expert lecturer. Pro bono work as a climate change analyst at a leading public interest advocacy organization rounds out her organizational experience.
Trained in the worlds of academia, government, law, and business, Ms. Dolin has also written and marketed for publication three commercial manuscripts (an international legal thriller, a relationship advice book, and a novella) and served as line editor and reporter for a newsletter with a circulation of more than 5,000.
